THIS WAY UP™, is an independent art collective and production house. Combining two different approaches to the creative field, personified in its two founders, Maria Skrudland and Jean Munck.
The group is interested in creating art within a wide spectrum mediums, ranging between the physical space and the digital domain.
Currently the group is active with their short film ''Et Vårtegn'', which premeried in spring 2026 and a new production beginning during summer 2026.

MARIA SKRUDLAND
Maria has a bachelor's degree in acting from Westerdals in Norway and a master's degree from the Theatre Academy in Helsinki.
She mainly works in theatre field but is also active in film and other multimedia artforms.
As an artist she is goal oriented and disciplined. Art for her means to mirror society's diversity and unique representations without agitating or overlooking the truth.
JEAN MUNCK
Jean has a bachelor's and master's degree in industrial design from Aalto University, with 5 years working experience in the field.
He has also been an active entrepreneur for 10 years, working as a photographer and videographer.
His creative process always begins with finding the underlying core problem of the client and understanding their true needs. Finding a solution , through strong visuals, an iterative process, and technical expertise.
