The short film follows the character “the human being,” exemplified through “the mother” and “the daughter.” “The human being” attempts to reconcile with the harsh conditions of life.

On the fringes of society exist souls yearning for the affirmation of love, a testimony to their existence. They have been abandoned, not only physically but also in the forgetfulness of time and community, like islands separated from the flow of life. Their self-image is weighed down by regret over choices that feel inevitable, and in this realization they become lost within themselves.

The absence of courage becomes their destiny, a motionless point in life’s eternal movement, and they drift through an existential emptiness where belonging is a distant dream.

The film is based on the stage play of the same name, which premiered in 2023.
